Based on privacy by design and taking a risk-based approach, the GDPR has been designed to meet the requirements of the digital age.

The 21^st Century brings with it broader use of technology, new definitions of what constitutes personal data, and a vast increase in cross-border processing. Personal data that EA School Online processes

The following student data are gathered and stored by EA School Online so that it may carry out its educational services:

• Name and surname
• E-mail address
• Didactic progress

EA School Online gathers and stores these data based on the legitimate interest principles as specified by the European Data Protection Authorities

• student consent (the student has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data, freely provided by them, for one or more specific purposes)
• The processing of the data is necessary for EA School Online to comply with its educational obligations (didactic follow-up and the reporting thereof to the student via E-mail)
• The processing of the data is necessary for EA School Online to be able to send Zoom links that grant the student access to its Virtual Classroom)

Personal Data other than name and e-mail address

EA School Online does not collect student data concerning creed, sexual orientation, political inclinations, health. The school also does not collect data of persons younger than sixteens years of age, unless it receives prior and written consent to do so from their parents or legal custodians.

Reasons why EA School Online collects and stores the aforementioned student data (Legitimate Interest)

• To be able to render its educational services
• To be able to assess didactic progress and report the findings thereof to the student
• To be able to send invoices for educational materials purchased via its website
• To be able to update students on its educational products and services
• To be able to send additional educational materials via e-mail

Student withholds consent for the collecting and processing of their data

When a prospective student purchases a module via the school´s website or via bank transfer, they thereby give consent for the collecting and processing of the aforementioned data. Should they withhold such consent, they will not be able to make use of the educational services provided by EA School Online.

Sharing of Personal Data with third parties

In order to comply with its local tax obligations, two of the three aforementioned student data (i.e. name and e-mail address) are shared with an external accountancy office with whom EA School Online has signed a data processing agreement.

Data retainment duration

In order to comply with local tax regulations, EA School Online retains the aforementioned student data for a period of five years after a module has been purchased. 

Student´s rights with regards to how their data can be collected and used

Right to be Informed

EA School Online processes the aforementioned personal data at the time of sale to complete your purchase and keeps a record of your transaction history for the fulfillment and service of your order(s).

Right to Access 

As a student of EA School Online, you can access your complete order history as well as your personal information used to complete the purchase by contacting the school´s Data Protection Officer at michaeldebaker896@gmail.com

Right to Rectification

As a student of EA School Online you can rectify any of your personal data that was entered incorrectly at the time of sale by notifying the school´s Data Protection Officer at michaeldebaker896@gmail.com

EA School Online stores your data on an external password-protected disc which only the Data Protection Officer has access to.
