Module 2: Working Therapeutically with the Moon and its Nodes, Evolutionary Axis: Special Placements, Determining Planetary Function

With the foundations of EA chart analysis laid in Module 1, in this second Module we get into the nuts and bolts. This second Module is a very technical one where you learn the trade through tons of EA chart analysis (14 in all: Carl Jung, Agatha Christie, Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Jaycee Lee Dugard, Charles Manson, Lady Gaga, Edward Snowden, Lewis Carroll, Nina Simone, Richard Nixon, David Koresh, Anders Breivik).

In its first Chapter, you are handed an important therapeutic tool. After restoring the Moon to its rightful place in the Evolutionary Axis and defining its placement by house & sign as the point of maximum resistance between its own south and north node IN THE NOW, I show you how the issues inherent in the Moon placement more likely than not are going to be directly related to the problem(s) your client brings to the table. The charts of Carl Jung and Lance Armstrong are used to illustrate this.

Following this all-important chapter on the Moon and its nodes, we then dive into an area where budding evolutionary astrologers tend to have tons of questions: what to do with special placements on the Evolutionary Axis? What does Pluto conjunct the NN of the Moon mean? And Pluto conjunct the SN of the Moon? What if the NN ruler is a skipped step? How do I make sense of that? Not to mention the SN ruler being conjunct the NN, or vice versa. Or, even more tricky, the SN ruler conjunct the NN ruler! The seven lessons in this bulky chapter provide answers to all of these questions, and more.

There is a total of 10 full EA chart analyses in this chapter, so this is the big moment you’ve been waiting for: to see actual EA chart analysis in action and witness first-hand how these challenging special placements are woven into a coherent whole. In our Zoom classes together I teach you how to do this all by yourself, so that you don’t run into surprises in your EA chart preparation.

The moment you start doing actual chart analysis in preparation for client work, you run into even more challenging situations: Pluto might be in the 1^st house yet in Libra. Or in the 11^th house yet in Leo. And that’s not all. Your client’s Nodal Axis might be paradoxically placed: their SN could be in the 3^rd house yet in Sagittarius, with the NN, inevitably, in the 9th house Gemini. How do I tackle that? How do I synthesize archetypal energies that are each other’s opposite and seem irreconcilable? And, more importantly still, why did the soul create prior-life selves subjected to these energies? What was the point of that from the soul’s perspective?

Luckily, there are answers to all of these questions, and they are a good deal easier than what you might initially have expected. In Lesson 2 you will find two full EA chart analysis (i.e. Richard Nixon, David Koresh). Both charts feature a paradoxical Nodal Axis, and the interesting thing is that they are each other’s opposite: Nixon’s has the SN in the 1^st house Libra, whereas Koresh’s has it in the 7^th house Aries.

Chapter 4 in its entirety is dedicated to Pluto placements that look very similar but are anything but: Pluto in the 2^nd house Leo (Bill Gates) is hardly the same as Pluto in the 5^th house Taurus (Hermann Hesse). The soul issues of a Pluto in the 12^th house Gemini (Josef Mengele) could not be more different from those of a Pluto in the 3^rd house Pisces (Charles Darwin). Pluto in the 1^st house Leo (King Charles) is a totally different story from Pluto in the 5^th house Aries (Friedrich Nietzsche). So, exactly how are they different? This chapter painstakingly charts the soul issues for each placement.

Lesson 2 of this chapter has a full EA chart analysis (and a rather challenging one at that: Anders Breivik), bringing the total to 14.

The final Chapter in this Module shows you how to determine planetary function. Determining Planetary Function is the linchpin of all EA chart analysis that is beyond rudimentary. Why? Because it answers the question: Why did the soul place this planet in this particular house & sign? What contribution does it make to soul evolution? Without determining planetary function, aspect analysis, transits and progressions, and, for our purposes more important still, working therapeutically with the Planetary Nodes would be next to impossible. In its two lessons, this chapter shows you how to determine planetary function in six of the charts discussed earlier in the module: Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Jaycee Lee Dugard, Charles Manson, Lady Gaga.
